Khan Academy Exercises Wiki

Welcome to the wiki for the exercise framework powering khanacademy.org's exercises.

How to help

With your help, we can make our set of math exercises even better! If you're passionate about helping, here's some things for you to work on:

Fix bugs

We don't currently have an updated list of bugs in our exercises, but if you find any, feel free to fix them and submit pull requests!

Triage issues

We get lots of issues from our users every day! Look through them, and help us decide what looks like it might be a problem with our site.

If something looks like a real problem, reply with a comment saying "realbug". If it looks like it's not a real bug, reply with a comment saying "notabug". This is immensely helpful in helping us sort out the bugs we have.

Write exercises

If you are ready to put in the effort, help us make some cool new exercises! We have a list of exercises that we want some help on here, or if you're feeling adventurous you can come up with your own ideas.

Guidelines for writing exercises

To ensure that our exercises stay helpful and high quality, we have some guidelines that they have to follow. We have two overarching standards, content standards and coding standards:

Our content standards guide. Look here to find hints, guidelines, and rules for making exercises that work well with the rest of the Khan Academy exercises.

Our coding standards guide. Look here to find our coding style guide, as well as some good practices to make sure that your exercise code is top notch.

Documentation and Resources

If you need help with a specific part of our exercise framework, look on our general "writing exercises" page or go to a specific resource page:
