Sorry for the delayed response here (I blame 2020). I'm afraid you're going to need to offer significantly more detailed information for me to even stand a chance of helping you here. What's the error you're getting? It's very directly just running git under the hood, so is more likely to be a networking/authentication/configuration issue than a problem with this plugin.
