Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to read from field 'com.google.android.material.floatingactionbutton.FloatingActionButton com.junjunguo.pocketmaps.activities.MapActions.showPositionBtn' on a null object reference. Help!

But when does this exception occur?
What exactly are you doing, and can you reproduce this issue?

This is confusing.
It is an error that never should happen, if the app is installed correctly.
How did you install pocketmaps?
Playstore or FDroid or self-compiled-apk?
Maybe you can try to clear cache of app, and/or reinstall the app?
Also interesting: What is your android version?
